The Demographics of the Modern World is a new series of posts that will look at how demographic phenomena are shaping the world in which we are living.

An increased longevity in developed countries will require people to work longer and save more. Yet, reforms, in particular for pensions, are falling short of achieving such objectives. A video from the Economist illustrates these points (click here to watch the video).
